Annual Intensive Summer Aphasia Program

  • Have you had a stroke or traumatic brain injury OR have you been diagnosed with primary progressive aphasia?
  • Do you want to improve your communication skills?
  • Do you need strategies to communicate more effectively with your family and friends?
  • Do you want to meet other people with similar communication difficulties?

If you answer "yes" to most of the questions below, the Annual Intensive Summer Aphasia Program could be beneficial for you.

The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders is offering an intensive program to improve communication skills. Please email CSD-SLP@uthscsa.edu or call 210-450-8353 to determine eligibility for the program and to register for a session. 
 

Program Details:

  • No fee
  • Sessions for 2 weeks (8 days total)
  • Four hours per day
  • Monday - Thursday

When:

  • Registration opens in February and closes in March each year.
  • We offer two sessions in June and one in July. 
  • All sessions are two weeks long.

Additional Information:

Services will be provided by graduate students under the supervision of licensed speech-language pathologists.
