The UT Health San Antonio Paramedic program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) upon the recommendation of the Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP).

CAAHEP Accredited Paramedic Programs and CoAEMSP Letter of Review (LoR) Programs track and report outcome measures annually to the Committee on Accreditation for the Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP). 

The most current CoAEMSP Annual Report was for the calendar year 2022.

The most recent success cumulative rate for the National Registry of EMT Paramedic/State Cognitive exam was 92%.

The most recent positive placement rate for graduates was 92%. The CoAEMSP defines positive placement as ‘Employed full or part-time in a related field and/or continuing his/her education and/or serving in the military. Positive placement is measured after the program. 

The most recent retention rate was 86%.

Institutional Accreditation

17³Ô¹ÏÍø is accredited by the  (SACSCOC) to award baccalaureate, master’s, and doctoral degrees. 17³Ô¹ÏÍø also may offer credentials such as certificates and diplomas at approved degree levels. It includes schools of medicine, dentistry, nursing, health professions, graduate biomedical sciences and public health, and a clinical enterprise called UT Health San Antonio, which conducts 2.5 million patient visits yearly.
