How it Works

Qualifications

  • Current GSBS student
  • Must be nominated or selected by your program or discipline to participate. 
  • Dual enrolled students are eligible to participate if 17³Ô¹ÏÍø Health Science Center/GSBS is their home institution.
  • Dual degree students will compete through their specific GSBS program or discipline.

Preliminary Rounds:

The preliminary rounds are conducted virtually and organized by program theme to ensure fairness, efficiency, and meaningful comparison. Each thematic group is judged independently, allowing students to compete alongside peers from similar academic and research contexts.

Top-scoring presenters from each group advance to the Quarterfinals.

It includes schools of medicine, dentistry, nursing, health professions, graduate biomedical sciences and public health, and a clinical enterprise called UT Health San Antonio, which conducts 2.5 million patient visits yearly.
