Pediatric requirements for orthotic or prosthetic care are very different than the requirements for the adult population. Skilled practitioners at UT Health San Antonio are dually certified and licensed in orthotics and prosthetics and are well versed in the specific needs of pediatric patients of all ages and functional levels. Our team of specialists provides comprehensive and individualized care so that the patient may achieve their goals and perform at their highest functional level. Many design options and materials are available for careful selection based on an extensive evaluation of the patient’s presentation, pathology and functional goals. We also provide ongoing follow-up services to ensure that the device provided allows the patient to continue to reach their functional goals.
