UT Health Endocrinology provides expert evaluation and precision treatment for all parathyroid disorders.

Parathyroid glands are located in the neck, behind the thyroid gland. These four glands are responsible for controlling the amount of calcium in the bones and blood. Parathyroid and calcium disorders result from the abnormal functioning of one or more these glands which can be caused by tumors or disease.

UT Health’s endocrine specialists provide complete evaluation and testing to accurately diagnose parathyroid disorders. We also provide expert treatment for correcting parathyroid diseases, which could include minimally-invasive surgery to remove the affected glands.

We offer patients on-site lab testing and advanced imaging and scans which provide the quick, accurate results used to develop effective treatment programs that are tailored to each patient’s specific health needs.

Our customized treatment plans could include medicine, hormone therapies and surgical removal of the affected glands.
