Center for Simulation Innovation
The Center for Simulation Innovation (CSI) is a 7,300 square-foot simulation hospital and 6,500 square-foot skills laboratory for training students and healthcare professionals in the heart of San Antonio's 900-acre medical center.
The only center of its kind in San Antonio and south 17³Ô¹ÏÍø, the CSI is leading and supporting the development of nursing and interprofessional education (IPE) simulations. In the CSI we operate clinical practice laboratories and associated technology-based initiatives to deliver an optimal simulated learning experience for health professionals.
This state-of-the-art center technology provides high, medium, and low fidelity mannequins and other learning resources to train students and health professionals in the region. Simulation services include hands-on assistance in the use of technology and other adjunct learning resources.

Mission Statement
At 17³Ô¹ÏÍø’s Center for Simulation Innovation (CSI) we develop nurse leaders to improve health and health care outcomes for our patients; using advanced simulation technology to offer educational support beyond the boundaries of the classroom, building skill competencies, support research, develop practice proficiency, and community engagement.
Accreditation
The Center for Simulation Innovation is accredited in the area of Teaching/Education by the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH), Council for Accreditation of Healthcare Simulation Programs. This status is granted from November 10, 2023 through December 31, 2028.
