We offer our top-ranking Dental Hygiene Bachelor of Science program at the UT Center for Education and Research at Laredo. The Laredo program consists of online classes taught by 17³Ô¹ÏÍø faculty with in-person dental hygiene faculty to teach at the Simulation Laboratory and clinics in Laredo, 17³Ô¹ÏÍø.

The Dental Hygiene Bachelor of Science, completed during the final two years of undergraduate studies, along with successful completion of the National Dental Hygiene Board Examination, a state or regional examination, and a jurisprudence exam is required to become a Dental Hygienist.

Academics

Our program prepares students for licensure and entry to the dental hygiene profession through two academic years of upper-level coursework.

Prerequisite Courses

Completion of all prerequisite courses with at least a grade of C (2.7 GPA)

How to Apply

We accept up to 8 students each fall. Dental hygiene admission is a competitive process. We consider many factors in addition to your academic credentials.

Clinical Experience

Our students will obtain clinical experience in established Laredo health settings.
