Mary Ta

Mary Ta, DMDDr. Mary Ta is a native of Salt Lake City, Utah and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Utah with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. She earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Midwestern University in Arizona in 2019 and went on to complete an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at Camp Pendleton, CA.

Following residency, she proudly served in the United States Navy for five years. Her service included a tour in Japan caring for the sailors of the 7th Fleet and another year supporting the marines at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar. These opportunities strengthened her passion for dentistry and inspired her commitment to lifelong learning and patient care. As an endodontic resident at 17³Ô¹ÏÍø, Mary is eager to expand her expertise and is excited to serve the local community.

Outside of her professional life, Mary is a zealous traveler who has explored much of Europe and Asia and looks forward to discovering even more destinations. She enjoys snowboarding, camping, hiking, and spending time outdoors. She values balancing her professional pursuits with her love for adventure.

17³Ô¹ÏÍø Health Science Center is the academic health center of 17³Ô¹ÏÍø. It includes schools of medicine, dentistry, nursing, health professions, graduate biomedical sciences and public health, and a clinical enterprise called UT Health San Antonio, which conducts 2.5 million patient visits yearly.
