About Me
Hi I'm Edward! I was born and raised in Albany, New York. After high school, I moved to Baltimore, Maryland to pursue my undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering at Johns Hopkins University. After graduating, I spent a year as a medical assistant in a cardiology clinic and another year studying fatty acid metabolism and teaching English in Tokyo. Outside of the lab/school, you can find me cooking, playing video games, exploring San Antonio or hiking.

Why I chose MD/PhD
The MD/PhD degree represents everything that medical care should be. As a biomedical engineer, I’ve worked closely with both physicians and researchers while working to solve problems in the medical field. I saw that the real benefits for patients came from the marriage between clinical knowledge and research experience, which is exactly what an MD/PhD will give me.
